There are various
groups that meet in people's homes for Bible study, prayer and
fellowship, either in the evening or during the day. These sessions
give us the chance to explore our faith in greater depth and find support for our daily lives. We regularly offer a Confirmation course for those who haven't been confirmed.
Bellringing
St John's has 8 bells in its
tower, some of which are now very old, and our team of Bellringers takes
great pleasure in ringing them on Sunday mornings and for festivals. The
team meet on the 1st Wednesday evening and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
thursday at 8pm. If you would be interested in learning to ring
St John's has a varied musical tradition, ranging
from traditional hymns and anthems to modern Christian worship songs.
Music of all types plays an important role in our worship.
Traditional hymns are accompanied by the fabulous
pipe organ, with keyboards accompanying the more modern music.

made up of people of all ages who like singing. Anyone who wants to take
part in this great ministry can join the St. John's Choir - no experience is

Flutterbies
Flutterbies is a group for pre-school age children and
their parents or carers, that meets on a Wednesday,
every week apart from school holidays at 1pm.
It is a combination of time for the children to play and the adults to chat, and a
time to listen to stories and sing songs.
